The "Metaverse over 5G" is a solution that enables powerful multi-user Metaverse experiences on any platform, regardless of client device processing capabilities, by leveraging network-assisted XR rendering and 5G Mobile Edge Computing (MEC). The solution was developed and evaluated based on the FAME 5G Media Testbed (F5GMT), which extends 5G Core functionality to make it as easy as possible to deploy and evaluate different types of media streaming workflows and applications.
